Nok Air to launch Mumbai-DMK flights from Oct 28, sets sight on Delhi for 2025

Nok Air, a premium budget airline in Thailand, is set to begin its new non-stop daily flights between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport (DMK), starting October 28, 2024. The airline is keen to bring Delhi on its route map next year.

This route will be operated by the state-of-the-art Airbus 737-800, featuring 189 comfortable seats.

“Our new service represents a pivotal milestone for Nok Air as we strengthen our international network as a premium budget airline,” said Ranon Viputsiri, Chief Commercial Officer, Nok Air. “This enhanced connectivity between India and Bangkok will position Bangkok as a key gateway to Thailand, providing travellers seamless access to renowned destinations like Phuket and Chiang Mai, as well as lesser-known gems such as Chiang Rai, Nan, Trang, and many more ensuring a strong comprehensive travel experience. Hopefully, by next year we can bring Delhi on our route network.”

Last year, Nok Air forayed into India with flights to Hyderabad.

Passengers can choose from two ticket types—Nok Air X-tra and Nok Max—each designed for comfort and convenience.

● Nok Air X-tra: 20 kg of checked luggage, 7 kg of carry-on, comfortable seats, premium seat selection, inflight entertainment, and a complimentary snack box with a water bottle.
● Nok Max: 30 kg of checked luggage, 7 kg of carry-on, premium seat selection, and a complimentary Indian vegetarian or non-vegetarian hot meal.

With one million Indian tourists visiting Thailand between January and June 2024, India ranks third in total tourist arrivals. Nok Air will operate 12 flights from India to Thailand, including 4 weekly flights from Hyderabad and 8 weekly flights from Mumbai.
