Kerala Tourism is set to unveil Malabar’s hidden tourism treasures through a B2B meet on December 27 at Kozhikode, aiming to position the region as a prime travel destination. Titled Gateway to Malabar: A Tourism B2B Meet, the event is organised in collaboration with Metro Expedition and the Beypore International Water Fest. It will bring together key players in the travel and tourism industry, fostering partnerships and highlighting the region’s adventure tourism, rich culinary traditions, vibrant arts, and heritage.
Held at The Raviz Kadavu, Kozhikode, the meet will connect local service providers, tour operators, and industry experts. Tourism Minister Shri P. A. Mohamed Riyas emphasised the event’s role in elevating Malabar to the league of Kerala’s prominent tourism destinations. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in enhancing Malabar’s visibility on both national and international tourism maps. The event aligns with the Beypore International Water Fest, further amplifying its appeal with India’s largest water-based festivities.
Participants will gain firsthand exposure to Malabar’s adventure tourism opportunities and cultural richness. The Beypore Water Fest, spanning Beypore, Chaliyam, and Nallur, will showcase thrilling water sports, culinary celebrations, and cultural extravagansas. Additionally, high-value business interactions will offer insights into investment opportunities, encouraging collaboration with industry leaders to unlock the region’s full tourism potential.
The program also includes a partially hosted itinerary for tour operators and agents from outside Kerala, offering two nights’ accommodation and meals at no travel cost. Delegate applications will undergo review by the B2B Committee to ensure quality participation. This initiative underscores Kerala Tourism’s commitment to highlighting Malabar’s unique offerings and solidifying its position as a must-visit destination
