Kerala is pushing to boost tourism by attracting visitors to the state’s interiors and rural areas. To increase tourist footfalls, Kerala’s tour operators and hoteliers are offering enticing packages for the upcoming festival and winter holiday seasons. International bookings are also seeing a rise as the holiday season approaches.
Kerala Tourism has launched a series of travel trade networking activities, starting with a Partnership Meet in Vadodara, followed by Surat. Smt. Sikha Surendran, Director of the Department of Tourism, announced plans for B2B roadshows and participation in trade fairs to showcase Kerala’s new offerings to a broader audience across India.
In addition to Mumbai, B2B meetings are scheduled in Pune on August 29th, with similar events planned in Chennai and Kolkata in the coming months. These initiatives aim to strengthen Kerala’s position as a top destination for travellers.
Smt. Surendran emphasised that Kerala’s promotional efforts have successfully positioned the state as a must-visit destination. Moving forward, the focus will remain on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), destination weddings, responsible tourism, adventure, and wellness tourism, with renewed vigor.
