IRCTC launches tours to Nepal & Sri Lanka

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched tours to Sri Lanka and Nepal.

IRCTC offers the flight from Delhi to Kathmandu on 21 August, 2023. In Kathmandu, one will get to visit Pashupati Nath Temple, Patan, Tibet Refugee Camp etc., whereas in Pokhara there will be a chance to visit Manokamna Temple.

There will be arrangements for stay in a 3-star hotel with facility of breakfast, lunch and dinner. IRCTC will offer the facility of an AC deluxe bus and guides who can speak both Hindi and English, throughout the tour of six days and five nights.

If one goes alone on this tour, the fee is INR 48,000. People will have to pay a fee of INR 38,900 per person, for two people and INR 38,000 per person, for three people, reports Arun Kumar Das for Swarajya.

IRCTC’s second offer is to Sri Lanka through a Sri Ramayan Yatra, highlighting the importance of Ramayana.

“We get a beautiful description of Lord Rama’s journey from exile to Ravana’s slaughter,” said a senior IRCTC official and added, “IRCTC has offered a great package for Ramayana Yatra which will leave from Delhi on 12 September, 2023.”

Under this package, travellers will get a chance to visit the major places associated with the Ramayana period in Sri Lanka like Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya etc.

“If one wants to visit these major places in Sri Lanka associated with Lord Rama, one should not miss this tour package of IRCTC,” the Railways PSU maintains.

The Sri Ramayana Yatra-Sri Lanka tour package will be of five nights and six days. Starting from Delhi, the tour will take you to Negombo, Nuwara Eliya, Colombo, Kandy etc.

IRCTC maintains that one does not have to worry about food while traveling under this tour package. Complete arrangements for food and drink, stay in 3-star hotel, all kinds of fees, insurance facility, tour manager, etc. are included in the package.

For booking of the Sri Lanka tour, a fee of INR 57,000 per person (double sharing) will be payable.

IRCTC has tied up with payment gateway entities like Paytm and Razorpay, to facilitate the booking process of tours through debit/credit cards in easy installments, for both the tours. (Source: Swarajya)
