DTCM to conduct roadshows in New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai next week

In a bid to promote 'Definitely Dubai' in the Indian market, Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is organising a three-city roadshow in India from September 23 to 26, 2013. The roadshow will kick start in New Delhi on September 23 and will be held in Mumbai on September 25 and Chennai on September 26. A 22-member delegation comprising a mix of hoteliers, DMCs and attractions of Dubai are participating in the roadshow. Emirates, Atlantis, The Palm and Lama Desert Tourism are the co-sponsors of the roadshow, which will include first time participants such as Royal Gulf Tourism LLC, The Oberoi, Dubai, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, Dubai and North Tours.

“India has always been a high potential market and our top source market given the significant year-on-year increase in visitor arrivals into Dubai. We are expecting to record 2.5 billion Indian arrivals into Dubai by 2020 and the upcoming three-city roadshow will help us foster and develop a closer working relationship with key members of the Indian travel and tourism industry in order to promote myriad and latest attractions of Dubai, hotels and resorts, attractions and tours. The roadshow will also host a series of presentations aimed at training the Indian travel trade on the offerings of Dubai as a tourism hub,” informed Carl Vaz, Director, DTCM India.
