As per Times of India (TOI), to enter India's highly competitive online flight-booking market, along with its car rentals paltform and restaurant reservation platform OpenTable. currently operates its hotel aggregator brand and name sake Amsterdam,-based in the country.
The company, formerly known as Priceline Group, plans to integrate all these offerings under one umbrella in the domestic market, a senior executive told TOI. 

This may pit the company with over USD 14 bilion in global revenues against the likes of MakeMyTrip, Zomato and Swiggy and give it a leg up over competitors such as OYO and will be called Transport.

The new offerings are currently under beta testing in India and the company plans to launch them early next year, Ritu Mehrotra, Country manager-India, Sri Lanka and Maldives told TOI."In 2020, we are looking at building a 'connected trip' and bring new verticals in to ouyr business in line with out vision of making it easier for everyone to experience the world" said Mehrotra.

Despite the stiff competition, India's online flight booking space has witnessed a slew of new entrants, including Flipkart and Amazon. Mehrotra, an ex-Zomato executive is also betting big on the food-tech space in India after having founded and solo a food-tech company of her own in the US.
