Rosie Holidays look to strengthen their presence in India

Rosie Holidays, a travel company based out of Fiji, is eyeing to strengthen its presence in India among the travel trade fraternity and is actively working towards increasing the visitor numbers from this market.

Adeline Lee Erasito, Director-  Business Development, Rosie Holidays said that from India the volume of travellers maybe small in terms of year-on-year growth, still it continues to be an important market for Rosie Holidays. “India is still a very small part of the overall business for Rosie Holiday but we definitely see the great potential this market possesses to grow further.”

Elaborating further Erasito said that Rosie Holidays has Bijal Thanavala, company’s Director of Sales, as its representative here in India based out of Mumbai, whose role is to engage with company’s travel trade partners in India and ensure that there is continuous growing interest for Fiji and Rosie Holidays among the Indian travellers.

“With our national airline, Fiji Airways now having codeshare with Jet Airways, it allows partners to have ease and accessibility to Fiji as a destination. There are connections via Singapore and also Hong Kong. We appreciate the efforts our national tourism office and national airline carrier do to promote Fiji in India and we as the private sector partners are also here every year to ensure there is continued increased growth,” expressed Erasito.

Rosie Holidays every year participates in Tourism Fiji’s annual India Roadshow engaging in one-on-one meetings and also retail agent trainings. Additionally, Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways have their own familiarisation trips to Fiji that Rosie Holidays supports with ground arrangements.

Erasito informed that key markets for Rosie Holidays continue to be Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, United Kingdom, China and Europe.

Segments which Rosie Holidays caters to include family getaways, romantic escapes, thrill seeking, luxury resorts, off-road adventures, island culture, groups and events, ocean encounters and special interest. Additionally, the company also has a department that primarily looks after Conferences and Incentive travel. “All segments continue to grow and we as a company will ensure that we continue to be innovative and creative in ensuring we enhance the visitor experience,” said Erasito.
