MIKI Travel starts India operations; establishes office in Delhi NCR

Arvind Attri to Head India & Middle East Division

MIKI Travel, a B2B Destination Management Company (DMC), part of  Japan’s H.I.S. Group, has started India operations after appointing Arvind Attri to Head the India & Middle East Division for their Group Business.  The India office will operate out of Delhi NCR in Gurgaon. The 50-year old travel company, MIKI Travel is a leading travel wholeseller and DMC with lot of expertise for Europe.

While the Indian FIT business will continue to be handled by the Dubai office of MIKI, the India office will take care of the burgeoning Group travel, like Leisure Series, Ad hoc groups and MICE out of India.  “Besides the metropolitan cities, our focus will be on new wave cities in India.  We will strive to support the trade in those markets, deliver efficiencies to help them pick up the market share,” said Attri to TravelBiz Monitor.

He said that Indian Group outbound market is estimated to be Euro 450 million and growing annually at a rate of 20%, offering enough space for experienced players like MIKI to come and make a difference.  “The outbound market is growing rapidly and I believe that MIKI as a DMC has enough opportunity to establish and grow in this lucrative source market,” Attri said.
