LOT Polish to start flights to Croatia & Bulgaria from Budapest in 2020

In 2020, LOT Polish Airlines, member airline of Star Alliance, will continue to develop Budapest as its second hub in addition to its home base Warsaw. In summer. the airline will add Dubrovnik in Croatia and Varna on the Bulgarian coast of the Black Sea to its flight schedule from Budapest. In addition, LOT Polish Airlines will increase its weekly services from the Hungarian capital to Seoul in South Korea from currently three to four flights per week.

The new flights to Dubrovnik and Varna are being offered on Sundays and will be launched the June 7, 2020. Both will be operated with modern Embraer 195 aircraft. Tickets for the new flights from Budapest are already available for sale through all sales channels.


Flight Schedule
Budapest-Dubrovnik (LO2571): departure at 7:00am, arrival at 8:15am, 1:15 hours flying time
Dubrovnik-Budapest (LO2572): departure at 8:55am, arrival at 10:10am, 1:15 hours flying time

Budapest-Varna (LO2631): departure at 12:30pm, arrival at 3:05pm, 1:35 hours flying time
Varna-Budapest (LO2632): departure at 3:45pm, arrival at 4:20pm, 1:35 hours flying time

Moreover, starting May 6, 2020, LOT Polish Airlines will increase its service from Budapest to Seoul. The route was just launched in September 2019 and reached immediately an average load factor of 85 percent. Based on that success, the airline will add another weekly non-stop flight on Wednesdays to its already existing three flights per week (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Like all long-haul flights, LOT Polish Airlines operates this route with a modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offering guests three services classes: LOT Business Class, LOT Premium Economy Class and LOT Economy Class. Flight Schedule
Budapest-Seoul
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with LO2001: departure at 12:25pm, arrival at 6:05am the next morning; 10:40 hours flying time

Seoul-Budapest
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with LO2002: departure at 7:40am, arrival at 1:25pm; 12:45 hours flying time

Michal Fijol, Chief Commercial Officer, LOT Polish Airlines, said, “We are consequently establishing Budapest as our second big hub. In summer 2020 we will offer flights from Budapest to 13 different destinations such as Warsaw, London, Brussels, Prague and Stuttgart as well as to New York (JFK) and to Seoul. Also, we have recently opened the first Star Alliance Gold business lounge at Budapest Airport so that our guests can relax or work before taking off.”
