Xoxoday targets 2,00,000 hosts selling through its platform by 2020

To ensure steady flow of revenues and cash flows via B2B and B2C channels, Xoxoday, a travel-tech company, aims to build a community of more than two lakh hosts selling their experiences via its platform by 2020. The company offers an advantage through the marketplace model where the hosts can manage their experiences and guests get the real-time view on pricing and booking.

Kushal Agarwal, Co-Founder, Xoxoday, said, “We digitise art form; food and dance form elements of the city and make it easily available for guests to consume on the go. We have built a new API self serve platform for travel agents, OTA’s and other travel ventures and also manage its inventory, content. We help them to sell their experience on our platform and we call it micro entrepreneurship. We have also built SaaS based tool for hotel’s to digitise their travel desk and sell its experiences to mid & large enterprises as gifts.”

While briefing about future expansion plans, he said, “We would like to work with all travel (OTA's who deals with flight, bus, train, ship, hotel booking) companies across the world in future. Last mile activities, experiences and things-to-do become an ideal extension to travel ventures. We also plan to bring API documentation through which they can receive experience booking from one centralised system. The plan is also to implement day planner feature through which the guest can plan his/her day with multiple activities. There will be timeline feature added to through which guests can view all their past bookings and recommendations and also the experience playlist feature through which any one can make their own playlist of experiences and showcase it to the world.”

Currently Xoxoday has over 5,000 experiences from 2,000+ hosts across 50+ cities in India. This includes few metros and few top tourist destinations. The company has on-boarded experiences from abroad via several aggregators. The company has launched various playlists for guests to find a perfect experience. They are city tours, explore authentic food of the city, adventures of the city, unique rejuvenation styles, heritage walks, and celebrating romantic evenings
