 650 MICE visitors from India to visit Ireland

Thomas Cook India is sending 650 Indian visitors to Ireland. The visiting groups represent a key travel segment of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) and are made up of top performing senior business executives, who travel to a different overseas destinations each year, as a reward for their performance over the previous year. Tourism Ireland in India worked closely with Thomas Cook India in advance of the visit – making several presentations to convince them to choose Ireland over other competing destinations and suggesting various locations for their final programme.

TAT New Delhi, Thai Airways & Thai Smile organise FAM trip for media

TAT New Delhi, Thai Airways and Thai Smile jointly organised a media FAM (Familiarisation) trip from May 14 to 17 on account of their inaugural flight from Kolkata to Bangkok to explore the new products of Thai Smile. TAT showcased the secondary destination “Samut Songkram” along with Bangkok and Ratchaburi, to experience community-based tourism and they also explored some new attractions ICONSIAM and King Power Mahanakhon Skywalk in Bangkok.

ICC World Cup - 2019 woos 80k Indians to the UK

British High Commission has shared a rough estimate of 80,000 Indians that may travel for the World Cup, based on previous India-UK travel trends and the numbers of Indians travelling for previous tournaments. Given the size of the market and passion for sport in India and the great flight connections between India and UK. The British administration is betting big on the ensuing Cricket World Cup 2019 to boost tourism and draw a larger number of Indian visitors to the UK.

Seychelles Tourism strengthens trade relations in Pune, Bengaluru and Chandigarh

Seychelles Tourism Board conducted workshops in Pune (February 21, 2019), Bangalore (March 19, 2019) and Chandigarh (May 9, 2019) to train potential travel trade partners and equip them with detailed information about various offerings in Seychelles. This enabled Seychelles Tourism Board to meet many potential travel agents in the three cities and lay the groundwork for future sales visits with potential operators. These workshops included a destination presentation, question and answer round followed by networking session that was attended by around 45 – 50 tour operators in each of the three cities.

Israel Ministry of Tourism hosts a women’s special group of Indian travel agents

Israel Ministry of Tourism recently conducted a FAM (familiarisation) trip to Israel for a special women’s group of travel agents from India. The week-long hosting from April 3 to 11 witnessed participation by 12 leading travel companies from Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. Senior management from Stratos Lifestyles, Signature Breaks, FCM Travel Solutions, Europamundo Vacations, Panache World, Evershine Holidays, Luxury Roots, Vay2Go Travel, Redchilli Holidays, Aspen Vacations, Yatra Online and Skyroutes India explored various sites in Israel.

Ocean Luxe invites guests and members to experience Genesis, a luxury yacht
