Amitabh Kant inaugurates ASEA 2018 in Delhi

Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog inaugurated the second day of India’s first ever Adventure Sports Expo Asia (ASEA) 2018 in New Delhi. He congratulated all the associations who joined together to start this Adventure Sports Expo. He stated, “As so much is happening in private sector, we need to spread this word around the world that India is a goldmine of adventure tourism. Ministry of Tourism should collaborate with ASEA to make it 100x bigger & better in the heart of Delhi.”

Maharashtra renews MoU with Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture

Maharashtra Government renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wakayama PrefectureGovernment, Japan for five years. The MoU commenced in 2013 with the purpose of enhancing the relations between Maharashtra and Japan for encouraging and expanding association in the field of tourism and investment. The MoU has been successfully driven by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation with a surge in bilateral ties and engagements.

TCEB business forum to strengthen exhibition ties with India

Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is taking its Exhibiz in Market campaign on the road in India, showcasing its global significance in New Delhi. The bureau is staging its business forum in New Delhi in an effort to boost Thailand’s international trade with India. The Exhibiz in Market scheme is a funding initiative conceived to generate pavilions at international tradeshows in Thailand, offering financial assistance between USD 1,500 and USD 5,780 for leaders of commercial pavilions between 36 to 250 sq mt in size.

Karnataka Tourism Minister unveils Karnataka International Travel Expo 2018 logo

Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT, BT & Tourism, Government of Karnataka unveiled the logo of ’Karnataka International Travel Expo 2018, being organised by Department of Tourism, Govt of Karnataka. The Expo is scheduled between February 28 to March 2, 2018, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The three-day event will attract over 1,000 delegates facilitating over 10,000 pre-matched appointments.

Yana Filippova to be Russia’s Goodwill Ambassador at KTM 2018

Yana Filippova, Eurasia Beauty Queen has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Russia for the upcoming Kerala Travel Mart 2018 (KTM) to be held in Kochi in September, which gives special emphasis to strengthen the partnership between the two countries in the revenue-generating sector.

This is in continuation of the summit meeting between Indian Prime Minister and the President of the Russian Federation last year to celebrate 2018 as the Year of Tourism in India and Russia.
