Mehbooba Mufti promotes J&K as a safe tourist destination
Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir was in Mumbai to promote the state as a safe destination for tourism. She urged people to select the state as their next vacation as the situation in the valley has improved.

IIFTC 2017 felicitates Imtiaz Ali and Vikas Bahl

The 5th edition of IIFTC was held in Mumbai which saw participation from over 20 countries and 100 film makers from Bollywood and regional film industries. The partner country of the convention Kenya Tourism Board felicitated the Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali with the first ever IIFTC Tourism Impact Award. IIFTC also honoured Bollywood director Vikas Bahl for popularising destinations such as Amsterdam and Paris in his much acclaimed film ‘Queen’.

20 Indian travel agents experience best of South Africa

20 Indian travel agents stood to win an all-expenses-paid trip to South Africa in a contest launched by South African Tourism, so that they could experience and celebrate the product they were selling. The travel agents experienced top selling products, destinations and experiences available in South Africa.

Vistara partners with Airbus for pilot training

Vistara, a joint-venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, signed a 5-year agreement with Airbus Group India Private Limited to provide training services to Vistara pilots for the A320 type aircraft. The two companies inked the agreement at the launch of Airbus India Training Centre (AITC) in New Delhi.

SpiceJet offers airplane ride 50 underprivileged children

SpiceJet embarked on its journey of #GivingWingsToDreams by offering the special treat to around 50 underprivileged children in association with the Rotary Club of Chandigarh. The airline operated a special flight from Chandigarh for a set of kids who have never flown before thereby giving them a lifetime opportunity.

Srilankan Airlines host Agents & Cargo Awards Night

SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, hosted two separate award ceremonies in North & South India to felicitate its best-performing travel agents and cargo team in India. The awards were based on the performance of the Agents over financial year 2015/2016.

Milind Soman runs at the Jerusalem Marathon

The capital city of Israel, Jerusalem held its seventh annual Winner Jerusalem Marathon recently where Milind Soman, model-turned-Bollywood actor and tri-athlete represented India. With over 30,000 runners, the highlight was more than 3500 runners hailed from 65 countries around the world. Soman was also invited as a special speaker at the official Press Conference and addressed the Israeli media along with Jerusalem Mayor, Nir Barkat.

‘Enable Travel’ to provide barrier-free travel

In a move to make tourism more inclusive and accessible, Enable Travel - India’s first Accessible Holiday initiative powered by Cox & Kings was launched to cater to the travel aspirations of people with disabilities. Enable Travel aims to provide tours and carefully crafted leisure outings for people with disabilities across mobility (wheelchairs), hearing, speech and vision impairment.
