Creating Synergy Among Travel Fraternity organises large travel trade networking event in Mumbai



Following the success of this year’s event in Delhi, Creating Synergy Among Travel Fraternity (CSTF) organised yet another very successful networking party in Mumbai. CSTF is a travel networking group promoted by Ankur Kalra, MD, Wellcome Tours; Ajay Chhabria, MD, Intime Travels; Rohit Shorey, Director, Destination Travel Services; and Siddharth Jain, Founder, click2travel.in. TravelBiz Monitor was the media partner of the party held at Cafe Infinito at BKC. The party gave delegates a chance to network and increase business amid cocktails and dinner, besides enjoying the Delhi cuisine. The four promoters of the networking group are now expecting more than 500 people at the Delhi event in January 2016. During the party, there was a lucky draw with three cash sponsors, namely, Nijhawan Group, Ark Travels Mumbai, and Sahibji Group. The prizes included air tickets to Oman with land package and Maldives packages by Island Group, Dubai packages by Lama Tours & ifly and Ski Dubai by Sonalee and Carl Vaz, Bali packages from Panaroma/09nights package from Gold Coast Tourism Board in all the luxury hotels. The Tashkent package with air tickets was by Dook and Leh Ladakh packages were given away by Ravine Trek.

 

Brand USA India takes travel company execs on FAM trip

Brand USA India recently organised a FAM trip for senior product heads of 5 major travel companies from Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chennai. The itinerary showcased the diversity in the West Coast, covering cities of Oakland and San Francisco in California, Nevada, and Oregon. The group experienced over 20 attractions, and the restaurants visited offered vegan, Indian, local, and international cuisines.
 
 

Cathay Pacific Airways conducts workshops for travel trade in Delhi

Cathay Pacific Airways recently conducted its annual workshop for the travel trade in Delhi, to update them on the recent developments within the airline group, pertaining to travellers from Delhi. The event witnessed active participation from nearly 100 travel agents, and covered a range of topics such as airlines’ products and services, fare updates, and e-services etc, and included interactive sessions.
 
 

New Zealand receives award for Best Adventure Tourism Destination

New Zealand has been named the Best Adventure Tourism Destination in the International Tourism category by Today’s Traveller Awards 2015. The award was presented by Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism & Culture and Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Government of India, to Neha Bhola, Country Manager - India, Tourism New Zealand, at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.
 
 

Tourism Malaysia, Malindo Air host Product Update Presentation

Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Chennai and Malindo Air invited travel agents and tour operators from Coimbatore for the product update presentation of Tourism Malaysia, in line with the celebration of the Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 and the announcement of a new route by Malindo Air from Thiruvananthapuram to Kuala Lumpur, effective August 24, 2015. Thiruvananthapuram is the sixth destination in India and second in Kerala for Malindo Air.
