NSW & Sydney open to welcome visitors

New South Wales (NSW) has issued an open invitation to travellers across the world to plan a trip to Sydney and NSW to explore its coastline, iconic attractions, outback towns and regional centres. According to an official communique, the majority of the state, including Sydney, South Coast, North Coast, the Hunter Valley and Blue Mountains, is now welcoming visitors, and the NSW administration views a holiday in NSW is one of the best ways to help support towns and people impacted by the pressures of recent bush fires and drought.

Tourism is a vital economic driver for the state of NSW with travel revenue providing benefits to entire local communities of accommodation providers, restaurants and cafes, visitor sites and small businesses which are both immediate and long-lasting. “When visitors stay local and buy local, it not only provides a financial boost to these areas but significantly boosts community spirit,” the communique reads.

Visitors to NSW and Sydney can undertake road trips, plan holidays during Valentine’s Day weekend and Easter, experience autumn leaves and spring flowers, and indulge in iconic events of Sydney and whale watching.

Visitors to NSW are suggested to refer to NSW Rural Fire Service, Live Traffic and NSW National Parks for the latest information about local conditions.
