By TBM Staff | New Delhi

United Airlines has announced that it is to introduce its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring the United Polaris business class seat on its route between Mumbai and New York/Newark from October 28, 2018. The aircraft replaces a Boeing 777-200ER on the once daily service. “We are excited to introduce the 777-300ER to our service between Mumbai and New York/Newark,” said Harvinder Singh, Country Manager – India, United Airlines. “I am confident our customers in India will appreciate the elevated inflight experience offered by our all-new United Polaris business class seats onboard this aircraft.”

The airline has already placed into service 17 of the 18 aircraft in its first 777-300ER order. It is expected to add at least one aircraft with United Polaris seating every ten days from now until 2020. The 777-300ER features 60 seats in business class in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct-aisle access from all seats.

United's 777-300ER aircraft offers a modern and spacious interior in partnership with design firm PriestmanGoode. Each United Polaris suite-like pod features direct access to the aisle, a 180-degree flat-bed that measures 6'6'' and 23 inches wide with infinite seat recline options and one-touch lumbar support. There is ample storage, multiple surfaces that enable passengers to dine while working, universal A/C power as well as 2-USB ports, a 16-inch high-definition entertainment screen, electronic privacy dividers for seats in the center of the cabin and an illuminated "Do Not Disturb" sign.
