An alumnus of University of Southern California, where he earned his Masters in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Kohli has completed 20 years in the travel and tourism industry, during which Creative Travel won many awards and recognitions as a leading DMC and tour operator, in not just India, but also Asia. Among the many honours that the company has received are World Travel Awards Asia's Leading Destination Management Company (2013 and 2012); Today's Traveller Award for Best Luxury Inbound Tour Operator (2013); PATA Gold Award (2009); and 14 National Tourism Awards by the Government of India.

Rajeev Kohli is also the Global Vice President - Finance of Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE), and Vice President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO). Maintaining work-life balance can get agonising, both physically and emotionally. Therefore, Rajeev Kohli makes it a point to de-stress by working out at the gym every morning, four-five days a week. “I spend an hour or so at the gym, and get back home for a hearty breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day.” His ideal breakfast menu comprises scrambled egg or omelette, two toasts, a cake and a glass of juice.
“I’m generally at work by 9:30-9:45 am. My day is divided between working for Creative and for the travel associations I am involved with. I try as much to be home by 7-8 pm, and have dinner with my family. In our industry, there are many stressful days with lots of workload. Most of my days are spent in meetings and solving management issues. Yet, I try to make time for the few things that I enjoy and help me relax,” stated Rajeev Kohli.Family Man
Rajeev Kohli is a firm believer in family values, and said that it is because of the upbringing that he and his brother Rohit received that the entire family has managed to remain close-knit till date. A dedicated son, a loving husband, a doting father and an affectionate brother, Rajeev Kohli swears by the significance of maintaining a perfect balance between one’s profession and family.
“Our life revolved around our father, whom we lost a few months ago. He was a pillar of strength of the Kohli family and Creative Travel. We are gradually getting back to normalcy after his demise. As a family, we are very close to each other; we celebrate all special occasions together. Despite very little time after work, I try as much as possible to spend quality time with my sons. On the weekends, especially, we try and indulge in some family time, go out for a meal or do something fun,” he added.
Rajeev Kohli lives in Delhi with his wife Deepali and sons Rohan (16) and Rishab (14).
