Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla held a review meeting with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar to discuss plans for enhancing airport facilities and services. Aujla highlighted recent developments, particularly resolving the long-pending issue of a cargo facility for perishable goods, which had faced technical delays. He announced that this cargo service would soon be available, helping farmers and traders export their produce more efficiently.
Aujla encouraged local farmers and traders to use the upcoming cargo facilities at Amritsar airport to export agricultural goods internationally, contributing to the state’s economic growth. Emphasising the airport’s excellent facilities and passenger care, he urged travellers to choose Amritsar for their international journeys, highlighting the convenience it offers.
The MP also revealed that new airlines and flights would soon be introduced, enhancing air connectivity for both domestic and international passengers. These additions are expected to improve travel options and accessibility, further benefiting the region’s residents and businesses.
Aujla, committed to advancing Amritsar’s infrastructure, noted that he holds monthly review meetings at the airport to monitor services and address passenger concerns.
