TBM Staff - Mumbai SFO’s Director of Aviation Marketing and Development has been named one of the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times, a ranking highlighting 100 of the most powerful, inspiring and influential women in Bay Area business.
Melissa Andretta, who has led the Aviation Marketing and Development team since 2017, was honoured at the annual San Francisco Business Times event held on October 10, 2024.
“Melissa Andretta demonstrates the values and qualities that make SFO exceptional,” said Airport Director Ivar C. Satero. “Under her leadership, the Aviation Marketing and Development team set the stage for the Airport’s incredible recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to successfully develop new airlines and destinations. We applaud Melissa for this recognition and thank her team for continually advancing SFO’s aviation development efforts.”
In 2023, SFO was named a 2023 Routes Americas award winner for successfully developing new airlines and destinations through worldwide marketing campaigns, identifying key markets for future growth, and maximising promotional impact. These efforts resulted in SFO welcoming a host of new international airlines and its first domestic carrier in 15 years. The Routes Awards are highly regarded in the aviation industry for recognizing marketing services that support new and existing air services and excellence and innovation in the route development community.
