Maldives and Manta Air with key Resort partners conclude the ExploreMaldives roadshow in Bengaluru

 

Visit Maldives and Manta Air, along with key resort and guest house partners, have successfully concluded the “Explore Maldives” roadshow held at the prestigious Shangri-La Bengaluru on June 26, 2024. The roadshow aimed to reignite the interest of Indian travellers and attract more Indian tourists to the Maldives, providing excellent networking opportunities between the partner resorts/guest houses and the travel industry leaders in India.

The event was attended by over 130 agents and media personnel, with participation from major hospitality chains in the Maldives, including resorts, guest houses, DMCs, travel agents, tour operators, and MICE travel organisers from India. The presence of travel industry leaders from the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) Karnataka Chapter and the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) Karnataka Chapter further fueled the reignition of interest among Indian travellers to consider the Maldives as a preferred holiday destination.

The full-day event was opened by the Deputy Managing Director of the Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC),
Zihuny Rasheed, and featured presentations by key resort partners and multiple networking sessions. These sessions provided invaluable opportunities for the partner resorts/guest houses to engage with the attending travel agents and tour operators. The event also included numerous raffles and giveaways provided by the esteemed resort partners exclusively for the occasion.

Zihuny Rasheed emphasised the significance of Manta Air’s regular direct flights between Bengaluru and the Maldives, stating that it is a crucial step in improving connectivity and accessibility, making it easier for Indian tourists to reach the Maldives and vice versa. He also highlighted the importance of building bridges between the cultures of India and the Maldives, as they remain close neighbors and good friends.
