Akasa Air has commenced operations in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with daily direct flights connecting Mumbai. The inaugural flight departed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai at 2220 hrs IST and is scheduled to arrive at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh at 0015 hrs AST.
The launch of flights to Riyadh marks the airline’s second destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and strengthens its presence in the region. The city is a rapidly growing financial center and a popular destination for business and MICE travellers. Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and CCO, Akasa Air, lit a ceremonial lamp to flag off the maiden flight.
